Emeritus

Emeritus is a high-growth edtech unicorn with offices and customers all over the world. Having conquered APAC and North America, the last major territory to enter was Europe. They instated Anand (GM, Europe) to open the region from London, and build a team across various client-facing disciplines.

Why did they need to use us?

Given Emeritus was launching Europe from scratch, they needed local recruitment experts who had deep networks and understanding of the B2B edtech space. Having recruited for a number of high-growth edtechs, Propel was well-positioned to help with the aggressive hiring plans. Anand needed “pod” leaders for various verticals within Emeritus, and these hires would be of paramount importance to a successful regional launch.

What did Propel do?

Propel mapped and tapped into London’s edtech talent scene, approaching senior leaders from other edtech vendors with valuable domain experience and skillsets that could add instantaneous and long-term value to Emeritus, EMEA. We have a specialism within B2B edtech and are recognised in the UK as edtech experts.

The Results

Propel placed four senior leaders that proved key to the launch of the region. These “pod” leaders are now building their teams around them as Emeritus continues to scale across Europe. These roles were all commercially focused – Enterprise Sales, Business Development & Partnerships, Enterprise Marketing and University Partnerships. Propel continue to advise and guide Emeritus’ continued growth and are delighted to have delivered such exceptional results.
