Job Description
The role
As a senior backend engineer / full-stack engineer for this Fintech Unicorn, you will have the opportunity to work on a number of greenfield projects for a tech unicorn. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver a number of new products to the business helping to define code and maintain a variety of backend services. If you want to work on the front end also there are full-stack roles available also.
You will be one of the first hires in the London team and play a key part in setting the engineering culture for this Emea Hub.
You will:
Work in Javascript – Node.js Backend + Typescript to deliver a variety of of greenfield products.
You will play a key role in designing the architecture of these products.
You will work closely with other engineers providing coaching and mentorship where needed.
Have the opportunity to experiment with new technologies when needed!
Culture is vital to this business and in order to maintain a collaborative environment this team meet in the office 2 days a week.
About You
As a senior backend engineer for this High Growth Fintech Unicorn you will have a variety of skills and attributes that will enable you to do well in this role:
You Will –
Be a product-focused engineer building products with the end-user in Mind
Have a mastery of any backend technology (node,python,Java) but willing to work in Node.js daily.
Strong Cloud computing skills GCP, Azure OR AWS
Experience with microservices
Experience with front-end technologies is a bonus!
