Propel are working with a high-growth SaaS scale-up, powered by AI, that helps enterprise organisations automate and streamline critical business processes. Having recently successfully moved from mid-market into enterprise, the company is entering its next phase of growth: global expansion, brand authority, and cementing a leadership position in its category.
Why this role?
This VP Marketing hire will take the business from ~£20m turnover towards £40m+. The foundations are in place the next step is acceleration, positioning, and vision.
You’ll be stepping into a strong platform:
A strong marketing organisation with 14 experienced FTEs already in place (demand gen, ops, brand, content, field, product marketing, design).
A shift from vanity metrics to quality pipeline with ICP mapping, lead scoring, and improved conversion.
A fresh HubSpot instance (migrated from Marketo), with lifecycle and workflows mapped properly for the first time.
A £2m+ marketing budget to deploy intelligently.
Your mission
As VP Marketing, you’ll own the go-to-market vision and execution for the next stage of scale. The processes and structure are built this role is about momentum, positioning, and market leadership.
Day-to-day, you will:
Partner with demand gen, ops, brand, and content leads to ensure pipeline growth translates directly into revenue.
Own campaign strategy across channels and regions, ensuring alignment with enterprise sales priorities.
Lead brand development, positioning the company as a category leader and trusted partner for CFO, finance, and procurement stakeholders.
Act as external spokesperson: analyst briefings, thought leadership, industry events, and partner engagements.
Use data and competitive insights to refine targeting strategies, ensuring high conversion from ICPs.
Drive international expansion, with a particular emphasis on the US market.
Work closely with the executive team to set priorities, influence board discussions, and ensure marketing is seen as a growth driver.
What we’re looking for
Scale-up track record: You’ve taken a SaaS business through £20m ? £40m+ turnover and know the levers to accelerate growth.
Enterprise expertise: Proven ability to build enterprise pipelines, refine targeting, and deliver measurable impact at C-suite level.
Global perspective: Multi-region experience essential, with US expansion highly desirable.
Category leadership: You’re credible with analysts, confident on stage, and able to elevate a company’s brand in competitive markets.
Stakeholder agility: Skilled at navigating boards, investors, and diverse cultural environments.
SaaS + AI background: Ideally from AI-powered SaaS companies selling into CFOs, finance leaders, or procurement decision-makers or other complex SaaS platforms targeting similar personas.
