Freelance SEO role

We’re supporting a fast-growing digital business looking for a hands-on Technical SEO Specialist to troubleshoot and resolve critical SEO issues impacting organic visibility following recent Google updates.

This is a highly technical, forensic SEO role focused on diagnosing crawlability, rendering and indexation issues across a modern JavaScript environment. The business needs someone operational who can work closely with developers and quickly identify root causes and implement fixes.Main Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot technical SEO issues impacting organic performance
• Diagnose crawlability, rendering and indexation problems
• Analyse data within Google Search Console and other SEO tools
• Work closely with development teams to implement technical fixes
• Support React/JavaScript SEO optimisation
• Review hreflang, international SEO and country/IP rerouting behaviour
• Conduct technical SEO audits and identify opportunities for recovery and improvement

Skills Needed

• Strong technical SEO troubleshooting experience
• Experience working on JavaScript-heavy websites
• Good understanding of React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Strong knowledge of crawler behaviour, rendering and indexation
• Experience with technical SEO tools such as Deepcrawl/Lumar, Botify or Sitebulb
• Previous experience across publishers, marketplaces, fintech or large-scale websites is highly beneficial
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with immediate priorities

Contract Details

• 1 month rolling contract (likely extension)
• £350–£500/day
• Remote across UK/EU
• Eastern Europe welcomed
