Community ManagerPropel is proud to be supporting one of the world’s leading ecommerce platform. This is a high growth scaleup, profitable, founder-led, and growing fast. With over 600,000 customers (and 2,000 new businesses joining daily), they’ve dominated their category and continue to scale rapidly.

Now, they’re ready to turn that audience into a real community.

The vision is ambitious: a thriving ecosystem where founders, marketers, and operators connect, share, and learn from each other both online and in person. From Reddit threads to Discord groups to local meet-ups, you’ll bring these conversations together and make community the beating heart of the brand.

This isn’t about building an audience from scratch it’s about harnessing the energy of a 600,000-strong user base and giving them a true home. The audience is already loyal and engaged, but there’s never been a clear strategy or single space to bring it all together.

The Role

You’ll be the architect of a brand-new community program defining what it means, where it lives, and how it scales. You’ll work across marketing, product, and customer success to connect users, identify advocates, and make every merchant feel part of something bigger.

You’ll also shape the offline side launching local meet-ups in key cities like London and New York, building towards the company’s first flagship event next year.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build and launch the global community strategy from the ground up.

Engage across existing platforms (Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, etc.) while defining whether to build a dedicated community hub.

Connect and moderate conversations, representing the brand’s voice with authenticity.

Identify and activate power users, contributors, and advocates.

Collaborate across marketing, product, and customer success to embed community at every stage of the journey.

Organise local events and the first major global community gathering.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ve either been the first community manager at a fast-growing company or built a community function from scratch. You know how to design structure, create connection, and turn engagement into belonging.

You’re naturally active online, know where your audience hangs out, and love bringing people together. You might come from SaaS, tech, gaming, or creator spaces what matters is that you’ve seen what good community looks like and played a key role in shaping it.

You’re strategic but hands-on equally comfortable mapping out long-term growth loops as you are jumping into a Reddit thread to spark a conversation.

This is your chance to take ownership of something big: shaping how hundreds of thousands of merchants interact with each other and with the brand itself.
