Our next breakfast event takes a look at the booming Fintech sector
Fintech has taken the financial services world by storm. We have seen the adoption of Fintech by customers and businesses across a range of products and services and witnessed unprecedented investment in the sector both in the UK and globally. The Chancellor, Phillip Hammond has said that Britain will be the global leader in fintech and there’s plenty to back up that statement.
The UK and London specifically have a thriving fintech sector which employs more than 60,000 people and generates £20bn per year, there’s more to it than that.
Fintech is democratising financial services and allowing far greater numbers of people to participate. It is also an environment in which startups can both compete and collaborate with the established financial and professional services industry.
We’veassembling a panel of experts to look at a wide variety of topics such as the homegrown success stories, what the ‘fintech bridge’ to Australia means, the skills and staffing issues, the threats and opportunities for this vibrant sector.
Moderated by Justin Pearse , the panel includes Bindi Karia , the legendary startup advisor, Katy Ringsdore of Atom Bank, Stuart Coleman of Open Bank Project, Sarah Arana-Morton of Open Corporates, Chris Adelsbach of Techstars and Anastasia Dokuchaeva of Clausematch.
When: May 2nd, 8.45 am-10.30am
Where: The Groucho Club, 45 Dean St, Soho, London, W1D 4QB
