Greek technology company Signal Ocean has developed an AI platform that delivers exclusive market insight to commercial stakeholders in the global shipping sector, enabling them to make better informed decisions. In January 2018 Signal Ocean engaged Propel to conduct a search for a Chief Commercial Strategist to be based in London and who would be tasked with the development of a commercial sales function for the business.

The candidate needed both the experience of setting up commercial operations from scratch and the ability to work effectively with a remote team to establish the sales function in London.

Signal Ocean appointed the successful candidate in June 2018 having met a shortlist of candidates from fast growth technology companies as well as those with comprehensive consultancy experience.
