Series B funded, Canadian GP and Patient engagement platform Pomelo engaged Propel to help them enter the UK market.

In order to deliver on their strategy of international expansion they required a commercially focused Director of Product Strategy to build and localise the product for the new market and also navigate the new territory commercially. The position was a fascinating blend of Product Management and Got to Market strategy.

The successful candidate would be a domain healthtec domain expertise with particular experience of delivering products into the NHS.

The Challenge

Pomelo needed a local partner to help them identify, target and secure an exceptional local market leader. An essential hire for a business expanding internationally Pomelo relied on Propels extensive experience in this type of search.

The Propel solution

Propel conducted a thorough executive search for the position of Director of Product Strategy.

Given the domain expertise required, Identifying and targeting relevant candidates was the result of a detailed research process and the generation of referrals through Propels extensive network.

Propel conducted a two-stage interview process before submitting shortlisted candidates to Pomelo. We then assisted with the management of the internal interview process and oversaw the offer negotiation process.

The Results

Propel worked in partnership with Pomelo over a 12-week period to hire a senior product leader from a leading healthtec platform in the UK.
