In December 2018, LeapIN contacted Propel through a mutual contact and requested help in the search for their new Chief Marketing Officer. A Virtual Company-as-a-Service that helps its customers to remotely manage their companies, LeapIN were looking for a strong leader with the ability to implement a clear strategy to take the company into its next stage of growth. The company was not known in the European market so Propel had to manage advocacy throughout the search. Based in Estonia and expanding for the first time, the cultural fit for LeapIN was also essential.
LeapIN engaged Propel in a research only mandate and Propel’s research team conducted an extensive search of senior multilingual marketing individuals from European SaaS based tech businesses – about one hundred and eighty people in total. They needed an individual who was not solely a marketeer but someone who could lead and build a team from scratch. This number was reduced to seventeen of the best candidates. LeapIN appointed their Chief Marketing Officer from this list and the role began in April 2019.
