Aiming to connect buyers and suppliers around the world, my client has created the worlds largest, multi award winning, marketplace in the global maritime industry. Their trading solutions automates procurement processes allowing their customers to trade simply and sustainably.

They are looking for a Back End focused, Node Engineer to join the team of 6 as they scale out cutting edge new features globally.

You will be passionate about software development, best practices and code quality. You have a can do attitude and are motived to innovate an industry with great techncology! These attributes are valued higher than your technical skills which you will develop with my clients strong tech team. You are confident when expressing an opinion and you are open to hearing the perspective of others.

Job Description

Required skills:

3+ years of experience working in NodeJS and Typescript
3+ years of experience developing API or GraphQL endpoints
Strong experience dealing with large datasets
Strong experience using NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferably)
Experience with message queues and event streams
Desirable:

Experience using SQL databases
Experience using ElasticSearch
Experience creating and maintaining WebSockets
Experience working in a monorepo
