Digital and Web Officer - up to £40K plus bens

The Role

Delivering ongoing content and technical support for the website to grow the engagement of members, prospective members, political stakeholders and the wider public, you will be responsible for its day-to-day management and updates, managing web suppliers and partners and support for its imminent redesign. You will also support the external delivery of impactful and engaging multi-channel campaigns across both internal and external digital, social and web channels. In addition, this post will support on member communications as necessary.

What You'll Do

**Ensure all web content is up-to-date and appropriately presented and communicated for the target audience, whilst also taking the lead on the design and UX of new pages/content hubs

**Responsible for the web-editing process – liaising with key internal stakeholders to review website content and developing methods to ensure this process is efficient and streamlined

**Provide expert SEO and UX advice for the site, sharing up-to-date insights to secure continuous improvement and upskilling colleagues as required on the best practice for improving the reach and user experience of the website, newsletters and email campaigns, with a particular focus on member engagement

**Lead regular calls with internal and external IT stakeholders to diagnose problems, manage updates and log minutes, update a project plan, and report back at Campaigns & Marketing team meetings

**Take responsibility for web media, uploading new content, archiving older content across multiple channels, and supporting with scheduling posts on social media as required

**Support with improving the effectiveness of the digital marketing and promotional activity, with emphasis on member audiences; provide regular, in-depth reports and analysis on web and digital media usage and trends, using Google Analytics

**Manage the Digital Team inbox, logging and responding to internal and external queries on behalf of the team

**Compile guidance, processes and manuals relating to the website functionality and to ensure wider colleagues are appropriately trained and equipped to perform tasks as required by the digital team

**Continuous monitoring of website error investigation, maintenance, and quality assurance, alongside reporting regular updates to key internal stakeholders on any issues and the process in place for resolving these

**Manage digital accounts and subscriptions and source assets for colleagues as required

Skills You Will Have

**Experience of implementing online marketing tactics to drive web traffic, including search, media, optimisation, social networking and email comms

**Strong IT skills –including but not limited to: Episerver, CMS tools, Google Analytics, SEO, UX, Dynamics365, Intranet, SharePoint and all MS Office packages

**The ability to influence colleagues to adopt new ways of working and processes to make the management of the website more effective and efficient

**A first class understanding of websites and best practice to ensure cutting edge digital content to provide a competitive advantage

**Adaptable, assertive, and confident in dealing with stakeholders

**Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage a range of work and projects effectively to deadlines and under pressure, whilst showing flexibility and initiative

**A proactive individual who has experience in digital marketing and can prioritise work and achieve deadlines under pressure

**A self-starter with proven organisational skills that can drive a work programme independently and take ownership of it

**Good team collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral with particular emphasis on communicating to online audiences
