Reporting Directly to the senior engineering figures you will be the first data engineering hire into the business building out the function. This company has a global reach and not only distributes kids entertainment but produces content that has over 4 billion monthly views a month.

Job Description

The Role

As a senior Data engineer (python) you will report directly to the head of engineering and work closely with the head of data science to support all data engineering services. You will build out the companies first data lake and play a key role within the technology team.

You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that data is readily available in the correct format and quality.
Develop and implement delivery and operational Processes to manage Data science products
You’ll work closely with engineering teams to deliver operational requirements of each product.

About You

You’ll have an in depth knowledge of processing Big data sets in Python,
You’ll have an in depth knowledge of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL
A strong knowledge of data management and data streaming techniques
Experience with AWS cloud environments.
